SPRING it onnn

The sun is shining, the flowers have bloomed, and Spring term has officially started.  I decided to take Spring classes this year know...get ahead of the game a little.  I LOVE all of my classes though and I'm really glad I decided to take them because I really don't think I could handle 8 hour days at "the Bean" for 5 months.  What's "the Bean" you ask? Trust me, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!  But here's a's a little job I have at a museum on campus where my friend Sarah and I build this...

It has it's ups and downs. Ups being that I love my boss and the fact that he lets me set my own hours (which means I usually work for about 4 hours per week...ha!). I also love everyone else who works there.  Downs being that there's a good change I'll be using an electric saw and working with paper mache every time I go.  Which means that I can either look cute for work and come home looking like a train wreck, or just go to AND leave from work looking like a train wreck.  It's awesome. At least I've become pretty handy with tools. But isn't that what my husband's for??  I shouldn't have to learn how to use a freaking drill and chain saw!
Anyway...this Spring term I am taking: Basic Athletic Training, Basic Athletic Training Lab, Adolescent Development, Indoor Cycling (aka Spinning), and Intermediate Tennis.  Best. schedule. ever. In my AT class, I have already learned how to wrap ankles. It's freaking sweet and basically a talent that every human being should know how to do. Seriously. I mean, I'm basically a pro by now.
My spin class is four days a week and kicks my butt every single time.

Also, on a side note, I'm loving this Spring whether!  Last weekend Daniel and I went on a fun scooter ride and then hiked up Bridal Veil Falls. So fun! I got a way bad tan line though :-( Or should I say sunburn. YOUCH!

Daniel has his own little landscaping business now and has been working so hard! He got stung by a bee though the other day :-( So sad.

Well, that's anything and everything exciting that has been going on with me lately. Some life huh? Love it!

Another bedroom update!

I finally painted our bedroom! It was harder and took a lot more time than I expected but I LOVE how it turned out. Here are before and after pictures!

These pictures are kind of dark but I left the light off and closed the blinds because they created a bad glare in the picture!

Lovin the new look when I walk in our bedroom.

April showers bring...April showers!

Last weekend I threw a yellow and grey bridal shower (with the help of my sweet mother) for my dear friend Shelly.  She is getting married this September and I couldn't be happier for her!  Here are a few pictures from the shower.  Again, I have to thank my mom for helping me with just about EVERYTHING.

This is where Shelly's friends wrote two words to describe her and some words of advice on the back!

These are my mother-in-law's Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin recipe. SO GOOD and a big hit at the shower;-)

Cake pops that my mom helped me attempt to make for the first time.

And of course, lingerie!

Nelli's birthday

Nelli is the Reilly family's entertainer. Her cowgirl birthday party was just too cute. Jess and her sister did an amazing job putting it on. I just can't get over how cute this girl is...

Easter Week!

I absolutely LOVE having my family up here for Easter. It's been so much fun spending time with them. We stayed up at the condo in Park City Easter weekend.  All of the Reilly side of the family was up there (minus Bonnie, AJ and Rio :-(). It was crowded but FUN! This week Daniel and I had school so we came back to Provo but we have still been hanging out with my family who has come down here the past couple of days.  Yesterday was the last day of school though so now we are free! Except for finals next week.  Nelli's birthday party is today so we are about to head to the condo again.  Here are a few pictures from Easter Sunday:

Last night we all went to karoke night at Fat Cats.  SO MUCH FUN! Almost everyone sang. It was hilarious. Paige and I sang Bennie and the Jets. I don't have the video but I'll upload it later when someone sends it to me.  Here are some other videos though.
Who knew Dan had it in him?
Sid singing a little Brit.
My dad and Rhettna.
I promise to post Paige's and mine. It's worth seeing, I swear.

Breakin the bank $$$

I have always been really good with my money. In other words...I'm a cheapo. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE new clothes and shoes...when someone else is buying them for me. When I lived at home with my parents, my mom would usually buy those kinds of things for me. And if she didn't, I wasn't getting them because saving my money was more important.

Now that I'm married I rarely buy clothes for myself. But since my favorite place to shop is Nordstrom, my sweet husband thinks I'm a shopoholic when I do come home with the occasional pretty new shirt or a spanking new pair of Hudson jeans. What's the problem???

Trust me though, those occasions are rare. You can ask my loving sister who works off commission at Nordy's. Believe me, she's not making much off of me. Especially since I frequently mooch off of the generous discount she gets.

The point of my sad story is that I've been a complete stress case the past couple of months because of the "too big for me to handle" DROP in our bank account. I mean, I know buying a work truck for Daniel and the $300 DOLLARS it cost us to register it was necessary, but still! And okay, I'll admit, the cute Vespa we purchased shortly after was not necessary, but totally worth it!! So basically...we're broke. Our checking account is almost empty, and our savings are beginning to dwindle...and it's probably only a matter of days before I get my first grey hair! I do realize the $80 gallon of conditioner I recently bought isn't helping, but I'm saving us money in the long run! Buyin in bulk baby!
Anyways, enough of my whining. I guess this is what the poor life of a new married couple is all about.
Cheers to being broke and wearing the same 10 shirts over and over again :-( Luckily my awesome mom came through with a darling new workout outfit and adorable chambray for Easter. And Dan got me the new running shoes that I wanted! Love them!
Still lovin life! <3
